The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for a key leader to lead a Business Unit and help shape a significant metropolitan region. The City is seeking a dynamic, ambitious and politically astute leader motivated by the challenge and reward of witnessing the impact of their work on the economy; is a master in establishing and influencing effective business partner and industry networks; and is accomplished in engaging their team and senior stakeholders. Manager Economic Development and Advocacy The Manager Economic Development and Advocacy will leverage the City’s strengths and opportunities to attract private and public sector investment and support local businesses to realise Joondalup’s vision to be a Global City, bold creative and prosperous. The Manager will provide strategic leadership and direction to the Business Unit, drive the delivery of the City’s economic development and advocacy approach, and actively position the City and region as a destination of choice for industry, business, investment, visitors and students. If you can demonstrate expertise in influencing and negotiating at senior levels; strategising and stimulating growth and innovation; developing policies, programs and projects in an economic development context; and relevant experience working with, or in, the private sector; we would be interested in hearing from you. A relevant tertiary qualification and existing network will be highly regarded.
