What you need to know...

  • permanent full time - 70 hours per fortnight
  • the package:circa $86,401 plus superannuation, per annum + Civil Liabilities Allowance

About the role

 As the Maintenance Engineer you will:

  1. Provide day to day management and direction to operational staff in the completion of maintenance works.
  2. Ensure the efficient and timely provision of Council's road maintenance works and services to Council's adopted standards.
  3. Ensure efficient delivery of major and minor construction and maintenance projects, giving due consideration to the Civil Liabilities Act and other such legislation and regulations as may be applicable.

The successful applicant will:

  1. Have a 'can do' attitude
  2. Be able to think innovately to identify maintenance solutions
  3. Have good communication and negotiation skills
  4. Work as part of team environment

This position is located at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
