Council is seeking an experienced officer who will be able to identify, plan, implement and facilitate projects for the improvement of systems and planning processes and procedures, which impact on the responsiveness of the Planning and Building Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • To be the primary administrator for the Planning module in the software package Pathway used by the Planning and Building Department;
  • Lead improvement projects focussed on business process re-engineering to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department.;
  • Collection and collation of statistics, PPARS reporting, quarterly and annual occupational health and Safety reports, and other reporting relevant to the Department’s operations, including weekly CEO Councillor updates; and
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of quality systems and standards.

About you

To succeed in this position, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Administering Infor Path or related discipline is essential;
  • Substantial experience with supporting complex business systems;
  • Experience in the review of systems, processes and procedures in a continuous improvement environment;
  • Effective presentation skills and;
  • Knowledge of the Victorian urban planning/development system and the Planning and Environment Act 1987 is desirable.
