Brief description of position

The Plant & Equipment Officer's primary objective is to select, maintain and continuously improve fleet, plant, equipment and tools used by the Civil Maintenance Team to deliver water and wastewater maintenance activities. They lead and support safety and efficient delivery of services to our customers.

The successful applicant will actively contribute and foster a 'safety first' culture that supports CHW's aspiration of zero harm.

They will have have:

  • Experience managing, maintaining and operating plant and equipment in a civil maintenance (or similar) environment.
  • Relevant licences/certificates of competency.
  • Track record of identifying and implementing improved ways of working (projects) that improve team safety, efficiency and/or effectiveness in a relevant field. Demonstrated interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships and rapport with co-workers and other stakeholders.
