Are you looking for an opportunity to work outdoors as part of a dynamic team?

Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking an experienced and reliable Plant Operator/Labourer to join the Parks and Gardens team based in Emerald.
In this role you will be working in highly collaboratively team and complete a range of manual tasks to maintain Council’s parks and garden facilities within the region.
If you have great communication skills, an eagerness to work outdoors and a passion for providing great spaces for the community to enjoy, then we want to hear from you!

In this busy role, your daily activities will include:

  • Maintaining the parks and gardens in the Central Highlands Region
  • Operating lawn mowers, whipper snippers, tractors and other plant equipment
  • Carrying out physical activities to maintain the Parks and Gardens facilities

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • Experience in a similar position carrying out physical tasks
  • Sound written and oral communication skills
  • Positive customer service centric approach
  • Current Queensland C Class Drivers Licence
  • General Construction Induction Card
