The Role

The Water and Waste Operations Team is seeking to appoint a self-motivated Water Meter Reader on a Casual basis. This position primarily operates outdoors and carries out duties as an individual however; you are a part of friendly and productive team of professional Officers. This position is responsible for conducting accurate, timely and systematic water reads in line with the programme to enable water consumption charges to be levied. The successful applicant will be required to work approximately 4 weeks every quarter. You will need to communicate with the public in a confident, ethical and professional manner. You will need to utilise your own motor vehicle and mileage will be reimbursed at the km rate. If you are a quick learner and enjoy working outdoors Council welcomes your application.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge that are relevant to the duties of a Water Meter Reader; and
• Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle drivers licence.

• Salary QLGIA (Stream B) – Level 4 ($36.65 per hour, inclusive of relevant allowances and casual loading); and
