The Role

The Rates Officer is responsible for the provision of high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers, whilst maintaining an accurate rates assessment record and ensuring follow-up on outstanding rates accounts. Your accountabilities will range from processing the levy collection of rates, customer enquiries and reporting and monitoring processes. Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in related field or demonstrated experience in similar role
  • National Police Clearance
  • Current ‘C’ class drivers licence
  • Rights to work in Australia

Desirable Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a Local Government rates role, with advanced knowledge of local government rating
  • Experience using Synergy Soft and IBIS rates modeling software
