Permanent Full Time Package Value - $81,213.68 to $87,746.40 per annum Council is seeking applications to fill the full time position of Senior Procurement Officer. The Position The position is responsible for ensuring that goods and services are procured throughout the organisation according to legislative requirements, specified quantity, quality and cost requirements, and delivered within given timeframes. The role will also be required to identify, review, advise on and implement best practice procurement activities and processes. The role will also supervise and support the Stores officer with general stores duties including the receivables, and issuing stock whilst adhering to all policies, procedures and legislation. Qualifications and Experience The successful applicant will need excellent communication and people skills and a thorough understanding of procurement processes. The incumbent will also need a high level of organizational skills and the ability to read and interpret legislation. Demonstrated experience in a similar role is desirable along with knowledge of Local Government legislation relating to procurement. Salary and Conditions The position is classified as a Level 5-6 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award – State 2017 and offers an annual salary (including allowances and leave loading) of $73,938.88 - $79,884.00. This position will receive 5 weeks annual leave including leave loading of 17.5%, 15 days sick leave, 9 day fortnight, Rostered-Day-Off system, salary sacrifice options, ongoing training and professional development and superannuation of up to 12% of salary is also available upon commencement.
