About the role This role is suited to someone who is keen to progress their career and looking for a new challenge. You will be a mentor and coach to the Revenue Accounting Team whilst providing your expert accounting skills to drive the forecasting, calculation and levying of rates, ensuring compliance with legislation. Most importantly, as the Senior Revenue Accountant you will champion a solutions-focussed culture that is underpinned by accountability and teamwork. About you To be successful in this role you will possess a Degree in Commerce, Business or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of significant contemporary experience and/or training. You will be a subject matter expert in accounting and debt management functions and have an exceptional ability to read and interpret legislation. In addition to high level interpersonal skills, you will be open minded, solutions focussed and resilient. Your leadership expertise will be evident through your aptitude for managing team performance and your ability to empower, develop and motivate staff. Your values will closely align with Council’s Guiding Principles, and you will thrive off the opportunity to model these principles in all stakeholder engagements.
