We are looking for an accomplished, Community Infrastructure Planner for a two-year fixed term position, who will have an exciting opportunity to develop and lead Mitchell Shire Council’s community infrastructure approach focused to meet community needs as growth and change occurs across the municipality. The Community Infrastructure Planner role sits within the Advocacy and Social Planning Team. You will be enthusiastic and open to the opportunities, innovations and challenges of an interface and growth area municipality, working towards creating a healthy, connected and sustainable community. You will have relevant tertiary qualifications, and experience working in the field of social, urban planning and community infrastructure planning. Strong analytical and written skills, project management experience, stakeholder engagement and partnership skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team – will enable you to excel in this role. In this role you will bring and test new thinking, systems and processes to community infrastructure planning, delivery, activation, monitoring and evaluation. The work undertaken by this position provides Council with a community infrastructure approach that draws upon evidence and best practice that will significantly contribute to Councils objective to create environments that supports the health and wellbeing.
