This role is responsible for:
- Undertaking assessment and approval of landscape proposals from developers in coordination with relevant internal departments.
- Assessing plan of subdivision applications in relation to open space and landscape outcomes.
- Providing advice to the Planning Department on landscape submissions in support of planning permit applications.
- Providing landscape permit conditions for subdivision and development applications.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Qualifications in Horticulture or a similar discipline.
- Previous experience in Local Government Open Space development or management.
- An understanding of the subdivision process in a ‘Growth Area’ context.
- Well-developed liaison, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills to enable effective communication with a wide variety of people from all levels and background including developers, contractors, consultants, internal and external stakeholders, and the general-public.
- An ability to set priorities and plan own time to meet deadlines.
