The Business Support team operates as a shared service resource providing a wide range of administrative support to our large Citizens & Community group - from Park Rangers to Librarians, right through to our pool Lifeguards. We're on the lookout for a highly proficient Business Operations Administrator to provide administrative excellence in a demanding and exciting environment. Your day will be busy and varied, as you provide support to customers both internal and external to the organisation. This includes helping our customers book community facilities and park spaces, responding to general enquiries from Council staff and the public. Your work within the Council will see you assisting staff with goods receipting, raising invoices, purchase orders and general support such as system administration, travel bookings, drone applications and reconciliation work. Due to the size of our group and the variety of work, it's a given that you're an adaptable individual who is dynamic when it comes to managing your workload in the face of competing priorities. Your methodical approach, paralleled with a capability to multi-task across a range of activities, allows you to maintain your accuracy and attention to detail, even with high volumes of work. You'll be a whizz and have an advanced level of computer knowledge with the Microsoft suite of programmes, and you'll learn to navigate existing internal systems with ease. You'll come from an administrative background, and you may even hold a qualification in Business Administration. You'll find building relationships with different people comes naturally, as you deal with customers directly and work behind the scenes to make sure the administrative side is met promptly and accurately. You'll be intuitive to look to alternative solutions if and when a problem arises. Receive the freedom to work autonomously, plan your day and prioritising your own workload. If you see that we can do things better and more efficiently, we want your voice to be heard. We're a supportive team - we value collaboration and we expect you're the same. Our city is a great place where people want to be. Join our team and help play a vital role in making it the place to be, now and in the future.
