Within the Council, the Resources group helps deliver services and infrastructure through the provision of support such as financial management, commercial investment, human resources, ICT/digital services, innovation, procurement and contracts, and facilities and property management. To support the Group, we have a Principal Advisor - Resources position available. The Principal Advisor will be responsible for supporting the General Manager and Resource's Heads of Service undertake projects and analyse, plan, develop, evaluate and monitor strategies, policies, and plans to ensure the Group is positioned to successfully meet organisational and group outcomes and targets. This is a senior advisory role where you'll use your research, analysis, and planning skills to help ensure the integration of organisation solutions. You'll deliver policy, strategy, and other planning projects and communicate as a senior advisor to the Council, Executive Leadership Team, Heads of Unit, project teams, and leaders. Being naturally analytical will see you undertake investigations and provide options to support new ways of delivering services. You'll manage key stakeholder relationships with both internal and external customers. To be successful in this position you will have a post-graduate qualification in a policy or management-related discipline and have solid proven experience in either a complex environment or policy, strategy, or management consultancy.
