About the Opportunity

The Performance & Improvement Officer role is part of the Strategy, Systems and Performance team.
Working as part of this team, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Work collaboratively across Council to assist in the administration of organisational performance reporting, business planning and performance measures in line with the NSW Local Government's Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework
  • Drive the continual improvement of Council's organisational performance reporting systems to enhance productivity across the organisation
  • Engage with stakeholders to plan, promote and implement business improvement initiatives that will assist Council in delivering its services efficiently with a customer service focus
  • Analyse and interpret data to help inform management decisions and influence positive change across the organisation
  • Build positive and effective relationships with stakeholders to drive change management of Council's systems, processes and resources and enhance staff capability across the organisation

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this position you will need to have:

Essential:

  • Certificate IV in Business, Project Management or similar discipline
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and communication skills
  • Experience in delivering complex information suited to a range of formats and audiences to inform decision making
  • Experience in collecting, analysing, interpreting data and reporting information
  • Advanced level use of Microsoft Excel
  • Current and maintained NSW Drivers licence
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • National Police Record History Check

Preferred:

  • Diploma in Business, Project Management, Business Analytics or similar discipline
  • Experience in improving business efficiencies and driving organisational change through the delivery initiatives including systems and processes, staff capability and resources
  • Experience in administering frameworks in line with compliance and regulation requirements

Benefits for you

  • The Grade applicable to the position is Grade 10 to 12 within Council's salary structure. 
  • The annual salary range is from $61,000 ($34/hr) to $80,000 ($44/hr). Starting salary to be determined upon the qualifications and experience of successful applicant.  
  • 35 hour working week and a fortnightly accrued day off 
  • Employer Superannuation of 10% applies 
  • Employment conditions are under the Local Government (State) Award 2020
