Water and Sewer Assistant Operator


Are you passionate about working outdoors across different locations in the beautiful Eurobodalla Shire? If yes, then this job may be your new passion.

Our Water and Sewer Operations team are searching for an individual to assist with maintaining the water supply and sewer systems across the Eurobodalla Shire ensuring the protection of public and environmental health.

Your main duties will include carrying out water and sewer construction and asset maintenance activities in accordance with detailed designs, procedures and relevant standards. You will also collect and record work activity data to ensure accurate asset, asset history and customer service records are maintained.

You will need a Certificate III in Water Operations or an equivalent qualification (or willingness and ability to obtain with Council assistance). You will be required to undertake physical labouring tasks in this role and have experience working with small/medium items of plant and power tools. Your excellent communication skills, your customer service drive and your commitment to WHS will be essential for this role.

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $2,317.85 to $2,420.55 gross per fortnight consisting of:

  • $2,073.74 to $2,167.10 base salary,
  • $33.40 Adverse Working Conditions allowance, plus
  • $210.71 to $220.05 superannuation (at 10%)

This role is required to participate in an on-call roster as required.
