MULTI PURPOSE TRAFFIC CONTROL LABOURER X 2


Do you have experience in traffic control and are looking for a new challenge

We are seeking someone who can adapt positively to changing tasks and priorities and understands the importance of traffic control around worksites. To be successful in this role you will have exceptional communication and customer service skills and enjoy working within a team to achieve quality outcomes for the Richmond Valley community. 

 

We are looking for

an effective communicator who can ensure the safety of everyone on site through the effective delivery of traffic control. You have a customer service focus and are able to provide accurate information to all stakeholders. You are a team player and are willing to learn new skills and gain new experience. You have an eye for detail and can deliver quality outcomes.

 

We are seeking someone who has the following technical abilities:

  • SafeWork Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card)

  • Current class MR Driver Licence

  • SafeWork accredited certificate for Traffic Controller

  • SafeWork accredited certificate for Implement Traffic Control Plans

 

About the Role

Full time: 9 day fortnight

Salary: Range from $48,209 to $55,442 pa + 10% super

The primary purpose of the role is to provide a high level of traffic control services in the maintenance and construction of infrastructure in line with Council’s delivery and operational plans.

This includes:

  • Communicating effectively with all stakeholders to ensure prompt and safe travels for everyone

  • Deliver the provision of traffic control in line with Traffic for NSW (TFNSW) standards and requirements

  • Understand and set up Traffic Control Plans

  • Being flexible and adaptable to the team requirements, working to achieve team objectives

  • Provide traffic control effectively with a range of high traffic volume highways and roads

NOTE: As the activities of this position could involve exposure to Hepatitis A and B or Q Fever, the employee will be vaccinated against these hazards or required to provide proof of immunity against these diseases.
