The Role
The Town of Port Hedland (Town) is currently seeking to create a pool of suitably experienced and motivated Aquatic Duty Managers in order to deliver exceptional services to the community of Port Hedland.
Applicants will be selected from this pool to undertake one or a number of roles across both South Hedland Aquatic Centre and Gratwick Aquatic Centre.
These roles contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the aquatic facilities and the maintenance of Water Park, which may include:
- Provide safe and effective supervision of the swimming pools and aquatic features
- Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Provide emergency response and first aid
- Maintain the facility in a safe, clean, hygienic and presentable condition for all customers to enjoy

Work Related Requirements
Successful applicants will need to demonstrate the following experience, qualifications and skills including:
- Pool Operators Certificate (WA)
- Chlorine Gas Handling
- LIWA Accreditation
- Current RLSSWA Pool Lifeguard accreditation
- Current Senior First Aid qualification
- Current CPR certification including use of oxygen and defibrillator
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Clearance
- Flexible availability, as some early morning, midday and weekend shifts are required
- Experience in local government, recreation facility and/or a group 1 aquatic facility
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of OH&S regulations, specifically relating to aquatic operations
