The Role

The Senior Engagement Officer: Community and Place is responsible for facilitating the development, delivery and evaluation of priority projects and programs within the Town’s Community Development Team.  The position is required to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders within evidence-based community capacity building frameworks to respond to community needs and pursue opportunities to build thriving and resilient communities.

This is an opportunity for you to transform strategic concepts into practical outcomes. The role requires that you have a relevant tertiary degree in community engagement, community development, social policy, communications or another relevant field and a minimum three years’ experience in a major company or government.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Relevant tertiary degree in community engagement, community development, social policy, communications or another relevant field
  • Minimum three years’ experience in community engagement or development in a major company or government
  • National Police Clearance
  • Current ‘C’ class drivers licence
  • Rights to work in Australia
