Road Maintenance Worker

• Permanent, Full Time Position working a 9-day fortnight
• Band 3 Salary Range - $57,268.12 to $61,287.72 per annum
• Plus applicable allowances and statutory superannuation

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently looking for a Road Maintenance Worker to work within our Sealed Roads team to complete a variety of civil maintenance activities on sealed roads, servicing the Ballarat municipality to provide safer roads and access ways to all community members.

This Full-time role will enjoy a 9-day fortnight and will be responsible for the delivery of services as directed by the Supervisor Sealed Roads for the maintenance of the City’s road infrastructure assets including;

• Sealed Roads – Pothole repairs, edge repairs
• Road shoulder repairs and maintenance
• Traffic management set up and monitoring, ensuring daily records are accurately maintained

TO BE SUCCESSFUL

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have genuine personal values, a can-do attitude and be keen to learn and possess the basic skills to be part of an operational team.

• A Current Driver Licence is essential, MR Preferred
• Current Worksite Traffic Management Certificate
• Construction Industry Induction/Red/White Card
• Knowledge of Worksite Traffic Management principals.
• Basic knowledge in use of plant and equipment required in civil works maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience in working within a team environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
• Knowledge of Councils Values demonstrating a positive ‘can do’ approach with a passion for the civil industry.
