Invercargill City Council is seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our Planning team on a permanent full-time basis.

As the Planner, you will play a key role in implementing Council's operative District Plan, assessing applications against the District Plan and the Resource Management Act, presenting reports at Hearings and, on occasion, evidence at the Environment Court. Promoting non-regulatory methods and investigating complaints adds another dimension to this position.

With a relevant tertiary qualification and a strong understanding of resource management legislation, you will be confident in providing professional and accurate advice and support to both internal and external stakeholders with all resource management matters. Practical experience in a resource management field is advantageous.
