About the role:

The Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre is the largest regional Entertainment & Convention Centre between Cairns and Brisbane. We are currently searching for a Box Office & Administration Assistant to join the proactive and enthusiastic team.

About this opportunity:
Assist with the administrative procedures and day to day operations of the Box Office and Administrative function of Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre.

Key responsibilities include assisting with the accurate set up of ticketing software including show/event set ups, management reporting, subscription sales, electronic database management and internet ticketing. This position is responsible for accurately balancing tills and floats for Box Office, MECC catering outlets and bars and ensure that daily banking is conducted in a true and accurate manner.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
• Experience in a customer focused role and a demonstrated commitment to the provision of quality services.
• Experience in an administrative support environment with a strong emphasis on quality customer service.
• Proven ability to competently and accurately handle money and follow banking procedures.
• QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.
• This role involves working closely with a multi-skilled high performing team, is high paced, and demands highly development organisational and administrative skills. You must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Blue Card - It is an essential requirement for this position to hold a Working with Children Blue Card. Under Queensland legislation, you must hold the Blue Card prior to commencing employment – No Card, No Start policy.
