  • Band 6 Salary range: $87,923 - $95,836 salary range plus 10% Super
  • Full Time ongoing position
  • Based primarily at St Kilda Town Hall, flexible working arrangements available

About the Role

Are you passionate and experienced in supporting vulnerable families and children? 

Family Support Workers take a lead case management role in the delivery of integrated family services, supporting vulnerable families with children between 0 to 17 years through the Integrated Family Services program. A key part of this role is to work collaboratively with internal and external key service providers.

Duties:

  • Formal support for families with young people aged 0 to 17
  • Documenting support provided in detailed case notes and reports
  • Support to other Family Services roles include playgroups and outreach work

Skills and Experience 

  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and innovatively, and provide a quality case management service to vulnerable and at risk families 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the integrated family services system
  • A commitment to collaborative practice and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong personal organisation skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks
