Band 6 Salary range: $87,923 - $95,836 salary range plus 10% Super
Full Time ongoing position
Based primarily at St Kilda Town Hall, flexible working arrangements available
About the Organisation
City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. About the Role
Are you passionate and experienced in supporting vulnerable families and children?
Family Support Workers take a lead case management role in the delivery of integrated family services, supporting vulnerable families with children between 0 to 17 years through the Integrated Family Services program. A key part of this role is to work collaboratively with internal and external key service providers.
Duties:
Formal support for families with young people aged 0 to 17
Documenting support provided in detailed case notes and reports
Support to other Family Services roles include playgroups and outreach work
Skills and Experience
A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and innovatively, and provide a quality case management service to vulnerable and at risk families
Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or equivalent
Knowledge of the integrated family services system
A commitment to collaborative practice and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
Strong personal organisation skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks
