Casual Learn to Swim Instructor



Council is currently seeking applications for the 2021/22 swimming season which will commence in October 2021 and conclude in March 2022.

Employment over the summer at the Shire’s Seasonal Swimming Centres can be a rewarding and valuable experience offering excellent employment conditions, on-the-job training and flexible working hours. 

About the Role

Council seeks to appoint casual Learn to Swim Instructors who will be qualified and experienced in instructing learn to swim.   

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and qualifications:

- A current Industry recognised Learn to Swim Instructor Certificate (AUSTSWIM: Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety and/or Swim Australia: Swim Australia Teacher Certificate)

- Current Resuscitation Certificate

- Knowledge of and experience in instructing and planning learn to swim classes

- Excellent customer service skills

- Experience in an aquatic environment

- Ideally have experience in the Swim and Survive Program and be qualified Swim and Survive Examiners.

This position attracts a salary of $31.41 per hour including casual loading plus penalty allowances where applicable. Award increases will apply from the first full pay period in July 2021.
