Council is seeking applications for a Labourer - Irrigation and Plant Operations within the Parks, Gardens and Cemeteries section. Applications close on Wednesday, 4 August 2021. The Burdekin is located just 70km south of Townsville, where unspoilt natural beauty meets a thriving rural community right on the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef. Famous for its abundant sunshine and rich agriculture, the shire’s most important asset is water. The Burdekin River combined with a massive underground aquifer and the Burdekin Falls Dam make the district drought resistant. Council is seeking applications to fill the position of Labourer – Parks / Irrigation and Plant Operations in the Parks, Gardens and Cemeteries section. Working within a small team, the successful applicant will be required to deliver a high standard of care and maintenance in Council parks, gardens, cemeteries, public open spaces and public facilities.
