The Role

The Senior / Human Resources Business Partner is a key member of the HR team in driving true business partnering throughout the business, assessing and anticipating HR-related needs and acting as a change agent.

The Senior / Human Resources Business Partner will develop strong working relationships with employees, managers and executives in order to drive business results through effective people management and HR business partnering of Directorates. This role will include coaching line leaders and providing specialist advice on a range of HR matters including, but not limited to, recruitment and selection, employment relations, performance management, organisational development initiatives, grievance and complaint management and conducting investigations.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Degree or Post Graduate Diploma qualification in Human Resources, industrial relations or similar
  • Extensive experience in a similar role managing and leading HR teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary HR practices, HR Information systems experience & processes
  • Demonstrated experience in the ability to interpret awards, enterprise agreements, policy and procedures and provide advice to employees and management
  • Demonstrated competence in conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills
  • National Police Clearance
  • Current ‘C’ class drivers licence
  • Rights to work in Australia
