Our Finance team is responsible for providing financial services to the various operations within Council. We are currently looking for an experienced person to join the procesisng team as our Rates Administration Officer.

You will support the charging and collecting of rates levied by the Council, assisting in ensuring the integrity of the Property and Rating system by assisting in updating rating records. This includes facilitating the end to end process required for the Department of Internal Affairs rates rebate scheme and support customer services staff in answering customer enquiries on rates and rebates.

With 2-3 years' experience as a finance officer or similar accounting support position, you will have a keen eye for detail and have a good working knowledge of IT software systems, including MS Word and MS Excel. Knowledge of the legislation related to Local Government for Rating and Valuations and local knowledge of the District Valuation process would be advantageous.
