• Part Time - 22 hours a week
• Salary $60.8K - $63.9K (pro rata) (Band 3) + 10% Super

Council’s Waste and Resource Recovery Management team is seeking an enthusiastic and team focused operator to take on this part time role at Council’s four Resource Recovery Centre facilities.  Under the direction and guidance of the Waste and Resource Recovery Team Leader, you will be responsible for undertaking Resource Recovery Centre operator duties as directed.  These may include customer service, point of sale, and some basic computer based duties.

As a Resource Recovery Centre Operator you will:

• Ensure Council is positively represented in dealing with the community and customers by providing a high level of customer service in accordance with Council vision, values and policies.
• Monitor and supervise on site traffic management
• Promote waste diversion and waste minimisation to customers
• Ensure windblown litter on site is proactively collected
• Ensure that waste and recycling collection areas are kept tidy and free of hazards
• Comply with occupational health and safety legislation and Council’s risk management requirements.

Note: This position will be required to undertake weekend work at all of Council’s four Resource Recovery Centres located in Wallan, Broadford, Seymour and Pyalong.
