Central Highlands Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for a Treatment Plant Operator to join the team based in Emerald.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to be part of a team undertaking planned and responsive activities to the water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations or reservoirs in the area and provide hands on support in an outdoor environment.

We are looking for an effective team player who is committed to working and maintaining a safe workplace for not only yourself but also contractors and site visitors.

Your expertise will support the council by:

  • Assisting with the planned and responsive activities to the water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Providing support, mentoring and technical knowledge to members of the water team
  • Quality monitoring and reporting

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Having sound knowledge of water and wastewater treatment plant operations
  • Cert III Water / Wastewater Treatment Operation or the willingness to obtain this certification
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • General Construction White Card
