ABOUT THE POSITION

The Shire is seeking a professional, motivated and innovative Strategic Planning Officer to join the Town Planning Team.

In this challenging and newly established role, you will be responsible for leading the development, review and implementation of the Shires strategic and urban planning objectives and strategic planning projects. You will also be responsible for preparation and administration of planning scheme amendments and providing high quality planning advice to the organisation and stakeholders.

Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Urban and Regional Planning (or similar) along with relevant experience in a similar role. Sound knowledge of planning principles and processes as well as working knowledge of legislation applicable in Western Australia is essential. A drive for results, can do attitude and exceptional customer service skills is also a requirement.

This position offers a competitive salary, annual location allowance, superannuation matching scheme and six (6) weeks’ annual leave. All other terms and conditions are as per the Shire of Ashburton Enterprise Agreement 2017.
