Council owns and operates the Cobar Shire & TAFE Library, Great Cobar Heritage Centre, Lilliane Brady Village (aged care facility), Children's Services, Youth & Fitness Centre as well as works depots in Euabalong and Cobar. Our core values - Accountability, Communication, Effective Leadership, Integrity and Teamwork (ACE IT) represent who we are as an organisation. You will be primarily responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of asset management, fleet management and facilities management functions across Council. Our ideal candidate would be a motivated, naturally innovative, customer-focused individual with a positive attitude and the demonstrated experience negotiating positive outcomes with a diverse range of stakeholders who all have different needs and priorities. We are looking for a strong leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical people. ABOUT THE ROLE Key responsibilities include the development, implementation and ongoing management of asset management systems; continuously improving the asset and facilities management processes across the organisation; and sustaining quality service levels by managing current and future business needs. A total remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate, dependant on skills, experience and qualifications including an annual salary range of $105,000-$120,000 plus superannuation and may also include relocation assistance and leaseback vehicle.
