About the role 

Do you enjoy being kept on your toes, relish the challenge of creating a battalion style resistance to attack, get a thrill from mitigating risks and are you keen to teach old dogs new tricks about IT security?

You’re in luck, Clarence Valley Council has a new and exciting role for you as IT Security Officer.

If you can demonstrate your expertise in the cyber security governance, risk and compliance space, and have experience in application of National ICT security frameworks and you have the relevant qualifications to back this up, we would like to hear from you.

To be considered for this position you will need to:

  • Address the essential criteria

  • Attach a cover letter (2 pages maximum) and an up-to-date resume (5 pages maximum) that clearly details your skills & experience as relevant to this position. You will need to demonstrate how you meet the focus capabilities and how your skills will enable you to achieve the key accountabilities.

  • Target questions - answer the  target questions - maximum 300 words each question
    1. Tell us about your experience developing and implementing security documentation to meet Security Accreditation requirements. What were the challenges and results?
    2. Tell us how you have applied National ICT security frameworks and principles to the security management systems of a mid-size organisation  by providing examples that demonstrate successful application.
    3. Tell us about your experience developing and implementing cyber security awareness messages, campaigns and/or education to alert others to the risks, what measure did you use to gauge success?
