The MacDonnell region is located in the centre of Australia. About the role This position will be based in our Alice Springs Office, which is the regional headquarters to councils' 13 remote communities and outstation locations. Regular travel to council communities, including overnight stays, is a requirement of this role. As the Coordinator Work Health and Safety, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring continuous improvement of council's WHS management system. This will include leading and implementing an Annual Work Health and Safety plan. As well as ensuring compliance with statutory and legislative requirements, the Coordinator Work Health and Safety will be responsible for overseeing injury management including Work cover Claims. About you Our successful candidate will ideally hold a Diploma in Work Health and Safety and will be able to provide advice and support on WHS legislation, policies, and procedures. Additionally, to be successful in the role, you will need advanced communication skills with the ability to develop a culture that promotes wellbeing of all MRC employees.
