Volunteers Tumbarumba Visitor Information Centre

Join a dedicated and knowledgeable team at the Tumbarumba Visitor Information Centre.

As a volunteer you will greet visitors to the area, provide information and directions both verbally and written and maintain a high level of customer service.  Sharing your knowledge and skills is a terrific way to help make our region a great place for people to live and visit.

The role of the Tumbarumba Visitor Information Centre (VIC) is to promote the region’s activities, attractions and accommodation and ensure visitors have all necessary information to enjoy their stay.

Duties will include:

• Greeting visitors
• Assisting with local information such as maps, activities, driving routes etc
• Encouraging visitors to see local attractions and businesses

Skills and Experience

• Some local knowledge of the Tumbarumba area and the wider Snowy Valleys region
• Welcoming, friendly and patient personality
• Able to volunteer weekends and public holidays
• Basic computer skills and EFTPOS terminal handling

About Us

The Tumbarumba VIC is run by Snowy Valleys Council (SVC).

SVC is committed to supporting and advocating tourism in the Snowy Valleys, providing information to travellers and locals, and providing a platform for tourism operators and destination marketing activities across the Snowy Valleys.

The VIC is also a featured driver reviver station for travellers passing through the area who need a place to have a break.
