Youth Support Worker - Sarina After Hours



A unique opportunity exists for a passionate Youth Support Worker to support the delivery of after-hours youth programs at our Sarina Youth Centre. This is a part-time fixed-term contract for 15 hours per week (Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings) until June 2022.

About this opportunity:

To support the development and delivery of an after-hours program targeted at engaging at-risk young people living in Sarina in positive activities in a safe and inclusive environment.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Relevant experience or interest in supporting and working with young people in need or at risk.
  • Ability to display discretion and integrity when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Ability to support the delivery of programs, identify and eliminate hazards and reduce potential risks in the work environment.
  • Working with Children Blue Card - It is an essential requirement for this position to hold a Working with Children Blue Card.  Under Queensland legislation, you must hold the Blue Card prior to commencing employment – No Card, No Start policy.  If you currently do not hold a Blue Card, we recommend you commence the application process when you apply for the position.
