Salary:  Award Stream A, Level 2 to 3: $63,937.44 – $70,029.96 plus 9.5% Super 

 Central Highlands Regional Council has an opportunity for a Rates Officer to join their team on a fixed term basis in Emerald. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient maintenance of council’s rating system including the timely collection of outstanding rates related debts.  The rates officer will be required to complete reconciliations, provide reports as requested and provide assistance across all areas of the financial accounting function.  

 Ideally, you’ll have worked with a council previously but we are also prepared to train and develop the right person.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • An understanding of financial transactions and ratings methodology
