About the Role

This is a contract position for three (3) years, based at either our Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles or Tara offices. 

Reporting to the General Manager (Community & Liveability), you will:

  • Be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of Council's Health Services to residents and clients in accordance with professional standards and legislative requirements;
  • Provide leadership and management in the development, implementation and evaluation of resident lifestyle, clinical policies and procedures, clinical governance, staffing models, skills mix and relevant employee competencies; and
  • Be responsible for maintaining accreditation of the Community Care and two Residential Aged Care Services that are owned and operated by Western Downs Regional Council.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Significant experience as an Aged Care Leader with AHPRA, relevant tertiary qualifications in public health or business administration OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience;
  • An in depth knowledge of nursing practices, health care issues and legislative requirements; and
  • Experience in managing community care and residential aged care services.

You must meet the requirements of "Key Personnel" as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and obtain an NDIS Disability Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card).
