The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1,000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. About the Role
This exciting role will play a vital part in helping The City of Port Phillip implement the Victorian Government’s Circular Economy waste and recycling reforms. The role will work across the Construction, Contracts & Operations department to shape Council’s Don’t Waste It! Waste Management Strategy.
Duties:
Design and implement projects, programs and initiatives for support the development of Council’s Don’t Waste It! Waste Management Strategy.
Develop and write Council’s review and update of the Don’t Waste It! Waste Management Strategy to ensure that it is fit for purpose and delivering for the residents, traders and visitors to the City.
Skills and Experience
Significant experience and/or demonstrated understanding of the waste and recycling sector.
A skilled communicator who can develop and prepare strategic documents to deliver on complex outcomes.
Experience in project management
Experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection, management and analysis.
Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, behaviour change, or similar.
