Salary Range: $83,926.48 to $100,215.01 pa + 9.5% super

Tool of Trade lease vehicle with private use

+ Access to occasional weekend overtime work when required

76 hours per fortnight with a scheduled RDO

We are currently seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Supervisor to lead our busy property maintenance team. Based at the Central Depot in Cammeray, this role is responsible for coordinating and undertaking the efficient and effective maintenance of Council’s infrastructure across North Sydney. This position will also be responsible for responding to customers’ maintenance requests, implementing the property maintenance program and coordinating maintenance works through contract and day labour staff.

This position will manage a team of three staff, therefore will suit a strong communicator with supervisory experience.

The successful applicant will have experience in managing multiple tasks with the ability to deal with reactive situations, along with:

Essential 

  • Trade certificate in relevant building trade; and Licences in Heavy Vehicle driving (or willing to obtain truck licence), working at heights-high risk works(or willing to obtain); NSW- WHS Construction Work
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge associated with building trades
  • Demonstrated experience in managing high volume customer service requests, and complaints.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and prioritising work constantly with competing demands in a highly reactive work environment
  • Proven skills in defining and communicating work targets, priorities and ensuring that work is in accordance with budget, performance standards measures.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging, supervising relevant property maintenance contractors.
  • Proven people management skills in leading and managing a team, with leadership capabilities to nurture a team’s development and cohesiveness.
  • Computer usage skills including an understanding of word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet applications, and or other relevant business computer systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Work Health and Safety and Risk Management principles
