About the position:

The City is seeking a skilled Reserves General Hand to maintain the City’s parks, ovals, reserves and other open spaces to a high standard.

This position is based at the City of Greater Geraldton Depot, and works a 9 day fortnight with 1 rostered day off every 2 weeks.

Key accountabilities:

• Working within the Reserves team to maintain the City’s parks, ovals, reserves and other public open spaces to a high standard on a daily basis as directed, including turf renovation, fertilising, mowing, slashing and all facets of turf care;
• General operation of plant and hand tools, carry out maintenance and/or labour duties as required;

• Ensuring that regular routine daily maintenance is carried out and that relevant log books and pre-start are completed.

Position requirements:

The successful applicant must have previous experience with turf care and maintenance in a commercial/public environment, hold a valid MR licence and be able to operate tools and machinery safely.

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

A salary starting from $57,419 per annum or $29.0582 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
