Coordinator Corporate Procurement

About the role

As part of Council’s Customer Driven transformation, the Coordinator, Corporate Procurement will lead and manage the day to day operations of the Corporate Procurement team with a strong focus on leading the team to provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. This newly created role will have oversight of the procurement, purchasing and tendering functions, passenger fleet and depot store operations. They will also provide specialist advice to internal and external stakeholders, as well as implement and maintain a corporate procurement framework that fosters a centralised approach, and adheres to regulatory and policy requirements.

This role will require contemporary knowledge of procurement and purchasing including relevant legislation, as well as the ability to deliver education, training and support Council-wide as the subject matter expert.

Working in a leadership capacity, the Coordinator Corporate Procurement will drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and will thrive on the opportunity to mentor, coach, and develop staff.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess degree qualifications in Business, Commerce, Procurement or extensive experience in procurement, tendering and contract management.

You will have experience in leading a team to develop and maintain organisational procurement and purchasing policies and processes, with high levels of technological and financial literacy and the ability to manage time and prioritise effectively. In addition to this, you will have an innovative, improvement focused approach with a specific focus on leveraging digital technology to make things easy and ensure an exceptional customer experience for all Council stakeholders and will thrive on building effective relationships that will work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation

This is a permanent full-time role with a base salary ranging from $96,596 - $107,221 per year based on demonstrated competencies + 9.5% p.a super.
