About Council’s Family and Children’s Services

Family and Children’s Services is responsible for the coordination, advice, education and delivery of a broad range of services for children and families from 0-17 years of age. This includes Childcare Services (long day, occasional and family day care), Kindergarten, Family Services, Maternal and Child Health, Immunisation and a Planning Team.

The Opportunity

Working collaboratively within our team of Early Childhood Educators, this position will see you implementing high-quality, innovative play-based programs to meet the individual and group interests, strengths and needs of children. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Supporting the program in promoting staff interaction with children;
  • Sharing interdisciplinary strategies to enhance the delivery of the program;
  • Recording interactions and achievements of children both as individuals and in groups;
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of curriculums; and,
  • Working according to the National Quality Standards and the National Quality Framework.

About You

To be suitable for this position, you will possess the following:

  • Certificate III in Children's Services or equivalent, as recognised by the Department of Education and Training and in accordance with the Education and Care National Law Act 2010 & the Education and Care National Services Regulations 2011;
  • Demonstrated understanding of Victoria’s Child Safe Standards; and,
  • Hold a current and valid: Working with Children’s Check, First Aid Level 2, CPR Certificate, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma Management certificates.
