Hourly Rate from: $31.98 to $37.23 ph (incl. casual loading) + 9.5% superannuation

North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney’s picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands, and a bustling CBD. Our aim is to ensure North Sydney remains a welcoming, well-designed, safe and beautiful environment for residents, workers and visitors.

With events now back in the swing of things, we are seeking friendly and reliable casual bar and event staff to work at North Sydney Oval to assist at our various sporting and non-sporting events.  The vacancies are casual with hours starting from 4 hours per week, often required on weekends and evenings. We are looking for people with ongoing flexibility and willingness to work on an ‘as needs’ basis, who can follow instructions and provide outstanding customer service to visitors of North Sydney Oval and Function Centre.

 It is favourable to have a current RSA Licence, however there are available roles which don’t require alcohol service. 

Essential 

• Current RSA certification (For service of alcohol)
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment within hospitality/events/bars
• Previous cash handling experience
• Ability to operate a point of sale system
• Previous experience with pouring tap beer
• Flexibility, punctuality and reliability
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work as part of a team 

Desirable

• Experience working in stock running and the ability to take direction in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain and connect all equipment associated with the cellar area- including taps, snap locks, valve checks, beer manifolds and fridges
• Barista certification and experience
