  • Permanent Part Time - 18.75 hours per week
  • Casual Pool of Staff also sort
  •  5 afternoons a week. 2:30pm - 6:15pm.
  • $26.01 to $30.17 per hour dependent on skills, experience and qualifications 

About the Role

Our Dynamic WOOSH (Wingecarribee Out of School Hours Services) is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated child care educator to join our team. The Service comprise of Mittagong Before and After School Care and Wingecarribee Vacation Care. Our services operate from the school hall at Mittagong Primary School. Before School operates 6.30am – 8.30am. After School staff operates daily from 3pm to 6pm and Vacation operates from 8am to 6pm.There will be some before school care shifts required on an additional hours basis, negotiated with the Service Supervisor.

Job share will be considered.   During the interview process we will also be looking to establish a list of suitable casual staff

About You

The successful applicants will have experience with children in the 5-12 year age group. Qualifications in childcare or education are desirable, and applicants with recent and relevant experience in working with children will be favourably considered.

Council is also seeking suitable applicants who are able to act in the position of Responsible Persons (as required) and as such will need to possess a current Recognised; First Aid Certificate, Emergency Asthma Qualification and Anaphylaxis qualification as well as recognised qualifications in Child Protection. (Or be prepared to obtain prior to employment).

All successful applicants will need to satisfy the relevant Working With Children Check requirements and give permission for necessary background and criminal checks to be completed. 

Applicants must be committed to the National Quality Framework and the relevant National Education and Care Services Law and Associated Law.
