Road Maintenance Worker – Road Safety


  • Permanent Full Time Position 
  • Salary range $58,818 to $62,837 per annum inclusive of allowances plus 9.5% Superannuation  
  • Fortnightly RDO  


ABOUT THE ROLE 

The City of Ballarat is currently looking for an experienced Roads Maintenance Worker to work within our Roads Safety team servicing the Ballarat municipality to provide safer roads and access ways to all community members.  

This full-time role will enjoy a 9 day fortnight and will be responsible for the delivery of services as directed by the Road Safety Supervisor for the maintenance of the City’s road infrastructure assets including Signage, line marking, Bridge & Guardrail maintenance.  

TO BE SUCCESSFUL 

To be successful within this position the ideal candidate will have: 

  • Current Worksite Traffic Management Certificate  
  • Construction Industry Induction/Red/White Card  
  • Current driver’s license and truck license to the category HR  
  • A minimum of two years’ experience within a Municipal or Civil Construction environment relative to maintenance 
  • Practical experience in general infrastructure maintenance works or civil engineering practices relating to road maintenance and practical knowledge in use of plant and equipment required of the position.  
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment demonstrating and displaying City of Ballarat values and “can do” behaviours. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
