ABOUT THE POSITION

The Shire of Ashburton is seeking casual Cleaner(s) for an immediate start upon completion of pre-employment checks.  Reporting to the Facilities Officer Onslow and the Caravan Park Managers, this role is responsible for maintaining Onslow facilities including the Sun Chalets and Ocean View Caravan Park facilities and surrounds in a clean, tidy and well maintained condition.

While the role is primarily focused on the Onslow Sun Chalets, particularly in the tourist season, the role will require flexibility to undertake alternative cleaning tasks across the Shire’s facilities as directed.

The successful candidate will be required to use cleaning equipment and chemicals in strict accordance with chemical handling and OH&S requirements.

Applicants must be available for morning cleaning shifts of the laundry, camp kitchen, ablutions, and cabins, and be ready to work weekends and provide holiday relief. Some commercial cleaning experience would be an advantage. Hours offered each week will vary dependent on seasonal requirements.

This position offers a competitive hourly rate. All terms and conditions are as per the Shire of Ashburton Enterprise Agreement 2017.
