About the Role

Based in Chinchilla, you will be part of the Works Maintenance team responsible for maintaining Council's roads and infrastructure.                

Reporting to the Works Supervisor, you will:

  • Undertake a range of labouring skills in the environment of civil construction and maintenance;
  • Undertake traffic control duties as required; and
  • Have an awareness of relevant safety standards and requirements.

About you

The successful applicant will:

  • Have an understanding and experience in various aspects of Civil Construction and maintenance works;
  • Have a current 'C' Class Driver's Licence (essential) or a HR (Heavy Rigid)/MR (Medium Rigid) Drivers Licence (desirable)
  • Have a Work Health and Safety General Construction Induction, White Card (essential);
  • Have knowledge of the MUTCD, Level 1 and/or 2 (desirable);
  • Be physically fit and enjoy manual labour, and willing to undergo a pre-employment medical; and
  • Possess good time management skills and the capability to complete allocated tasks while working within a team.
