About the Role

Based in Dalby, you will be responsible for providing development assessment service through quality management and continuous improvement of processes for the Region.

Reporting to the Principal Planner, you will:

  • Be responsible for assessing development applications in accordance with the requirements of the Planning Act 2016, State legislation, relevant Planning Schemes and Local Government Infrastructure Plans, Local Laws and other policies and procedures;
  • Process and prepare development application reports for Council; and
  • Investigate and prepare reports on planning and development compliance matters.

About you

The successful applicant will have:

  • a Bachelor's Degree or Post Graduate Degree in Planning;
  • a proven high level of understanding and interpretation of the Planning Act 2016, Development Assessment Rules, State Planning Policy and other Queensland planning instruments; and
  • experience in Local Government planning, particularly development assessment.
