About the role The Economic Development Coordinator will play an integral role in leading in the development of investment and business attraction policies and initiatives, advocacy and advice to our Councillors, Executive and wider organisation. With Mitchell Shire in the midst of a population boom, this opportunity to lead a small team aims to foster and build relationships and partnerships, lead the development and delivery of projects that stimulate business development and investment, tourism and local employment and positions us as a local government leader in this space. About you You will be an excellent leader who is strategic, visionary with a solid understanding of key economic development and planning issues as well as emerging trends. An active and passionate communicator, you will have advanced communication, negotiation and influencing skills with proven stakeholder management and investment facilitation experience. Importantly, you will be committed to developing the team you lead creating a great workplace culture. Your leadership and effectiveness will be informed by a combination of technical qualifications, proven on the job experience and a commitment to continued professional development.
