Manager Water Management & Treatment

The opportunity

The recent inclusion of a new executive management level has created a rare and outstanding opportunity to work as part of the Water leadership team that delivers benefits to our community in a way that adds value and builds trust.

Reporting to the Executive Manager – Water & Systems, we are looking for an experienced leader who will make this role their own and is passionate about providing innovative solutions and transformative leadership to the WMAT team. You will do this through efficiently managing operations of Council's water sources, water treatment, influent, sewerage treatment, sludge management and effluent management systems and processes.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for a passionate leader to complement our existing workforce, who can demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Exceptional leadership skills in inspiring, empowering and developing teams and individuals
  • Engineering qualification with extensive experience in the water and sewerage industry including water and sewerage treatment and network operations
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental and quality management systems, processes, catchment, groundwater, water source, effluent management, chemical and microbiological principals
  • A motivated and passionate water industry professional interested in making a difference to our community.

The package

An enticing remuneration package inclusive of a vehicle will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Location

This position will be based at our new and modern Administration and Customer Service Centre at Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree.

‘Yalawanyi Ganya’ means “sitting/meeting place” in the Gathang language of the indigenous people of the MidCoast Region.
