ICT Support Officer (Ref: 813)

About the position:

This position is responsible for handling the day to day operations of the information communication and technology environment, hardware, software applications, and mobile devices. This position supports the Service Desk function while creating and disseminating knowledge across the organisation.

This full time position is offered as a 12 month fixed term contract until April 2022.

Key accountabilities:

  • Respond to enquiries from staff, service providers and vendors to provide technical assistance and support, ensuring ownership of incidents and requests through to satisfactory resolutions
  • Maintain and support various types of hardware and software, ensuring high levels of availability and security
  • Create knowledgebase articles and training material and deliver short inductions and training sessions.

Position requirements:

The successful applicant will ideally have a Diploma in Information Technology or experience with  a relevant certificate level qualification. Additionally, the position requires previous experience administering Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems.

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

A salary starting from $69,117 per annum or $34.97 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
